Pastor Jerome Gay
Jerome Gay Jr.’s life is a story of triumph and courage. Reared mostly in Southeastern Washington, DC by a doting mother and a emotionally, sometime physically distant father, Jerome was able to mature to become a successful husband, businessman, entrepreneur and pastor. Jerome received his calling into ministry at the age of 13 where he battled being a Christian against the temptations of the world. At 16, he began to understand his leadership ability and became Vice President of “Rites of Passage,” an all male organization, at his alma mater Suitland High School in Forestville, MD. After graduating from high school with honors, he attended St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, NC, where he founded THUGS Ministries (Together Helping Us Grow Spiritually), later renamed Adoration Ministries. As a college student and Pastor of Adoration Ministries, he became passionate about spreading the gospel through drama. His first play, Church Wanted Dead or Alive, addressed the detriment, hypocrisy and neglect that the church had inflicted upon the body of Christ. “Security," his second play, earned him critical acclaim on campus and the community. Over 300 people gave their lives to Christ during the first production.
Jerome embraced the call and purpose on his life and began co-pastoring Servants for Christ Fellowship at the age of 21. Servants for Christ empowered people through relevant teaching via Plurality of Leadership. After co-pastoring for 5-years, GOD led Pastor Jerome Gay and Crystal Gay to birth Vision International Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. A church that Enlightens, Encourages, Empowers and Inspires people with the word of GOD!
