Men's Ministry

The Mission: To exemplify true manhood and brotherhood in Christ.

We embrace, teach, train and encourage men to be what GOD has called them to be. The ministry is not designed to produce men that will be positive agents for positive spiritual enrichments for the body of Christ and society. As Christian men we address the real issues we face within a climate of sincere brotherhood, which goes beyond Sunday service. We set examples of true manhood and virility that has nothing to do with women, cars, occupations or other things that constitute manhood in the secular arena, and everything to do with GOD’s good and perfect will for our lives. Through consistent fellowship, training and teaching as men we will allow Proverbs 27:17 take its course in our lives.

“As iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
The Principles: (Based on David’s Mighty Men – II Samuel 23)

Josheb:
“he raised his spear against eight hundred men,
whom he killed in one encounter” (II Sam. 23:8)

Men of God are strong in GOD’s word. We do not give in easily to the numerous distractions and temptations of life. Amazingly, we defeat them all; not by our own abilities but through God who gives us strength. We are courageous in Christ because we know we can overcome anything in Him. (Ref. I Peter 4:11 and John 16:33)

Eleazar:
“he stood his ground and struck down the Philistines
till his hand grew tired and froze to the sword” (II Sam. 23:10)

Men of God are persevering. We endure in order that we can press toward the goal for which God called us: to be men of God, full of character and hope. We accomplish this by making His Word, the “double-edge sword”, permanently apart of us. It is the code we live by and food we live on. (Ref. Romans 5:3-4, Deut. 30:14 and Matt. 4:4)

Shammah:
“Israel’s troops fled from them. But Shammah took his place
in the middle of the field. He defended it…”(II Sam. 23:12)

Men of God are defenders of The Gospel. We take a stand on the hard truths of God, even if others flee, even if it means we stand alone. Through a Christ centered brotherhood we contend as one man for The Gospel. Our hope is that through its defense, others may come to know salvation through Christ.
(Ref. Philippians 1:27 and I John 4:2)
