Usher Ministry

The Mission: To act as hosts/hostesses for God’s house.

The Usher Ministry primarily controls the flow of service while directing members and visitors to their seats. But even more notable, the ministry functions as hosts for the house of worship; greeting and welcoming those who come. We are the people whose actions and demeanor encourage people to join the VIC family. Our goal is to make everyone feel at home while making efforts to insure worship is orderly and worthy of God’s attention.

“Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in His ways and revering Him.”(Deut.8:6)

The Principle Scriptures:

• “But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” (I Cor. 14:40)
• “Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” (Romans 12:13)
• "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me." (Matt. 18:5)
